Physicians are very entrepreneurial and want to work for themselves so this trend certainly makes sense. For a recent practice we helped them to select the right computer hardware, negotiated phone and interent services, tested connectivity for their hosted EHR and helped with the network design and security of their entire IT infrastructure.
