Michael has extensive leadership experience in start-up and fast-growth service and retail brands. Michael was one of the founding executives of “Geeks On Call,” a national IT services company for small businesses and consumers, serving as COO / VP of Operations from 2001 to 2006. Geeks On Call was recognized as the best franchise concept in 2006 by Entrepreneur Magazine. Michael led the company from start-up to over 350 locations nationwide. Michael has also consulted with brands such as 1800GOTJUNK, Staples, and Verizon Wireless helping these companies deliver a superior customer experience and grow their brands.
Sheryl Cherico - COO & Co-Founder
Sheryl is the co-founder of MD Tech Pro and serves as the company's resident practice management specialist ensuring that all software, be it third party or proprietary, enhances provider productivity. Sheryl also conducts needs assessments for clients and identifies deliverables, timelines and proposed budgets. Another one of Sheryl’s duties is end-user training and documentation, ensuring that office staff and providers are using software applications to full potential. Sheryl has mastered numerous medical practice software packages over the course of her career, and is an expert at everything from front-end, to back-end, to EMR. She has also worked directly for a leading national medical software group.
Sheryl has worked as a Practice Manager, Biller and CIO within a large medical practice in the Atlanta Georgia area and brings this wealth of experience to the clients within MD Tech Pro.
Steve Platnick - CIO & Co-Founder
Steve is the co-founder of MD Tech Pro and has been providing first-rate IT and management services to healthcare facilities since 1995. He has expert knowledge of the medical industry — both in consulting and in corporate environments. In addition to his exceptional knowledge of healthcare, Steve has vast experience in telecommunications, banking and insurance.
At MD Tech Pro, Steve provides strategic consulting, planning and network engineering for our clients. He also spearheads the “needs assessment” process to ensure best technology solutions to meet business needs. “The business need should dictate the technology used, not the other way around,” explains Steve. “Technology is a means for businesses to operate more efficiently, provide quality products/services and sometimes provide a way to generate revenue.” As a business owner himself, Steve understands that, as an investment, technology must operate efficiently and cost-effectively.
Steve graduated Cum Laude from DeVry Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. He is also a Certified Novell Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Professional. He was a faculty assistant at DeVry and has spent over 15 years providing PC and network engineer services.

James R. Morrow, M.D.
Dr. Jim Morrow is CEO of Morrow Family Medicine, a new state-of-the-art family practice in Cumming, Georgia. He is a past winner of the HIMSS Primary Care Davies Award for Implementation of an EHR, and was recognized as the 2006 Physician IT Leader of the Year by HIMSS.
Dr. Morrow recently served two years as Medical Director and Vice-President of Medical Affairs for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions before deciding to return to full-time practice.
Having served two terms as a commissioner to the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), he also has served HIMSS as a member of the Ambulatory Davies Selection Committee, the Ambulatory Information Systems Steering Committee, the Katrina’s Phoenix Task Force, and chairman of the Practice Leadership Task Force. He is the HIT mentor to the Common Ground Clinic in the greater New Orleans area, a free clinic started post-Katrina to care for the indigent in that area. Dr. Morrow is on the board of directors of the Physician’s Institute for Excellence, the Georgia Health Information Exchange and is an advisor to the Board of the Technology Association of Georgia for Health. (TAG Health).
Dr. Morrow has presented to national audiences at HIMSS Annual Conference, National Health IT Day in Washington, D.C., and the World Healthcare Congress, also in D.C.

Michael Brown - Regional Developer
Michael has been in the healthcare industry for over 13 years. He has worked extensively throughout the southeastern United States. Michael brings a strong medical sales and team building background to MD Tech Pro. He has a vast knowledge of the medical equipment capital sales market and the medical real estate investment / development market.
Michael’s team will be based out of Savannah, Georgia servicing the southern portions of South Carolina and Georgia (Low Country). Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Michael now resides in Savannah with his wife and son. He graduated in 1990 with a BA in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. Michael states – “We are living in a fast changing medical electronic age. New rules and regulations are presented to physicians on a daily basis. I enjoy the fact that our medical clients know MD Tech Pro is extremely proactive in addressing the IT needs of a medical practice today. MD Tech Pro is committed understanding the IT needs of a one to forty physician medical practice. We have your back.”
